The DigitalPersona 4500 fingerprint reader is an ideal USB peripheral for independent desktop users as well as for users in shared environments. The DigitalPersona 4500 reader uses optical fingerprint scanning technology to achieve excellent image quality, a wide capture area, and optimal reliability. A silicone coating allows it to read a wide range of fingerprints accurately and quickly, regardless of the angle at which the fingerprint is placed. The high-quality metal housing resists accidental movement.

To use it, simply place your finger on the reader's screen, which will quickly and automatically capture and encrypt the fingerprint image before sending it to the DigitalPersona FingerJet™ biometric engine for verification. For optimal user feedback, a red light indicates that the fingerprint image has been successfully captured.
